Broadcast Media License

The rights you grant LWN when you go live.

Every creator, host, and business that broadcasts on a Live Watch Network channel accepts this Broadcast Media License (BML). It defines what rights you grant LWN, what rights you keep, and how your content can be distributed, clipped, and monetized across the network.

The Agreement

Broadcast Media License

1. Grant of License

  • You grant LWN a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, transmit, transcode, cache, distribute, and publicly perform your content across the LWN apps, web, TV apps (Roku / Apple TV / Fire TV), and embeddable players.
  • The license includes the right to create thumbnails, captions, previews, and short promotional clips (typically ≤ 60 seconds) for use inside LWN and on official LWN social channels.
  • You retain ownership of your content and all underlying intellectual property at all times.
  • [Placeholder: full grant, derivative-works, and moral-rights language.]

2. Term & Termination

  • The license begins when you publish or go live and continues while the content remains on LWN.
  • You may remove your content at any time; LWN's right to retain backup copies, audit logs, and compliance records survives removal as required by law.
  • Cached copies on CDNs and viewer devices may persist briefly after removal; LWN purges origin storage on a defined schedule.
  • [Placeholder: post-termination retention, takedown SLA, and survival clauses.]

3. Monetization & Revenue Share

  • Eligible creators and merchants earn from the Influencer / Business Owner Fund, tips, subscriptions, and commerce per the posted revenue-share schedule.
  • LWN may insert ads, sponsorships, and house promos around your content; revenue is shared per your tier and category.
  • You agree not to embed competing pre-roll, mid-roll, or overlay ads that bypass LWN's ad system.
  • Revenue share explicitly accounts for live-commerce transaction splits on Seat at the Table virtual dining room checkouts, delivery routing fees passed through integrated courier services, and the mechanics of user-clipped RetroRide digital coupons — all payout disputes must be raised within 30 days of the corresponding statement.

4. Rights You Confirm

  • You own — or have written permission to use — every element of your broadcast: footage, music, logos, trademarks, talent appearances, and venue access.
  • You have obtained any required releases from on-camera participants, including model and minor releases where applicable.
  • Your content does not infringe copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights of any third party.
  • Creators broadcasting outdoor adventures, community pet events via Nosey Paw, or live transit experiences via RetroRide confirm they have obtained proper public or private venue permissions and all necessary transit authority approvals. No location-tracking or transit broadcasting may violate local passenger privacy laws, biometric data regulations, or applicable transportation surveillance statutes.

5. Syndication & Clipping

  • LWN may surface your live stream inside multi-view, picture-in-picture, and "trending now" placements across the six networks.
  • Viewers may create short clips using LWN's clipper tool; clips link back to your original stream and you remain the credited creator.
  • Off-platform syndication to partner broadcasters or social platforms is opt-in and configured per-channel in Creator Settings.
  • [Placeholder: full syndication, attribution, and opt-out language.]

6. Revocation, Strikes & Appeals

  • LWN may revoke or narrow this license for content that violates the Master Terms, the Broadcast & DMCA Policy, or applicable law.
  • Creators receive a notice for each enforcement action and a 14-day window to appeal via the in-app Appeals workflow.
  • Repeated or severe violations may end broadcast and monetization privileges across all LWN networks.
  • Emergency Suspension Clause: If a live broadcast threatens community safety, broadcasts sensitive or restricted information, or violates imminent public-safety laws, LWN retains the right to instantly terminate the stream transmission first, prior to any 14-day appeal window investigation. The creator will be notified immediately with the specific safety concern and may appeal the suspension once the immediate threat has been addressed.
Emergency Suspension Notice

Your broadcast was terminated for an immediate safety concern.

Under Section 6 of this License, LWN may instantly end a live transmission that threatens community safety or broadcasts sensitive or restricted information. You have 14 days from this notice to submit an appeal once the immediate threat has been addressed.
